A New Sunday Morning Thing in Downtown Chandler

There’s a new car meet starting up in Chandler, and it’s happening somewhere a little different than the usual parking-lot gatherings — right in the historic downtown district, with the old brick buildings and walkable streets as the backdrop.

It’s called Cars and Coffee Historic Downtown Chandler, put on by Volturo Luxury Lifestyle and The DC | Downtown Chandler, working with the city. The idea is pretty simple: get some nice cars, some coffee, some breakfast, and some local shops all in the same few blocks on a Sunday morning.

When and where

Second Sunday of every month, 8 to 11 in the morning. It’s set up around 3 S Arizona Ave in Chandler, in the historic downtown area. No cost to show up.

What’s actually going on there

Cars, mostly — a rotating mix of sports cars and higher-end stuff parked around downtown. Beyond that, there’ll be local vendors set up, and some of the restaurants downtown are involved too, so there’s food and coffee within a short walk. It’s meant to draw people from around the East Valley, not just Chandler proper.

Why downtown, specifically

Most car meets around the Valley end up in a shopping center lot somewhere. This one’s leaning into the historic district instead — old buildings, actual sidewalks, places to wander into afterward. It’s a small thing, but it changes the feel of the morning from “look at cars for twenty minutes and leave” to something more like an actual outing.

It’s also tied into a loose group called the Cars and Coffee Coalition — a handful of independent car meet organizers around Arizona who help promote each other’s events.
