The Be Kind Initiative, founded by Kevin Lair, is building more than just a car meet—it’s building a movement. Based in Prescott Valley, AZ, Kevin’s approach to Cars and Coffee is centered on connection, kindness, and community. As the organizer of Be Kind Cars and Coffee, Kevin launched the event in July 2025, and it has quickly become one of the most inviting monthly gatherings in Northern Arizona.

Held on the third Saturday of each month from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, the event takes place behind Starbucks near Kohl’s at 3322 N Glassford Hill Rd in Prescott Valley. From the beginning, Kevin’s goal was to create an inclusive space where all vehicles—and all people—are welcome. Whether you drive a classic, a lifted truck, a JDM build, or a daily driver with character, this event is for you.

The first event drew around 50 vehicles, and it’s been growing ever since. Thanks to Kevin’s leadership, the meet regularly attracts attendees from surrounding Arizona communities like Prescott, Chino Valley, Dewey-Humboldt, Mayer, and Cordes Lakes. But it’s not just about the cars—it’s about how people feel when they arrive and how they leave. Kevin often says, “It’s really not that hard to be kind,” and that message sets the tone from the moment you roll in.

There are no trophies, no pressure, and no need to impress. Instead, you’ll find good coffee, warm smiles, and conversations that last longer than your average car show burnout. Kevin believes that kindness can be just as powerful as horsepower—and the community response shows he’s onto something.
